Abstract
In his inaugural lecture as professor of planning at University College, London, Peter Hall looked back over the course of a lifetime to try to answer three questions. What were the major influences that caused one academic planner to go the way he did? What were the visions of the future? And what were the critical role models that provided the inspiration, not only for one individual, but for an entire generation?
