Abstract

Animal welfare is one of the new issues in international relations that needs attention. Each country can have implementing domestic policies and different to the issue of animal welfare. The issue is bring a consequences of the interaction among countries, including bilateral relations between Indonesia-Australia. This study shows that this new international issues can lead to continuity and change in inter-state relations. Countries that are living in the same area have of potential conflict is greater than far-flung countries. Animal welfare policy differences between Indonesia and Australia to lead to political tensions in bilateral relations. Political tensions eased because the same economic interest from both countries.
