Abstract

The theory of “soft power” appeared in the late 20th century. Since the 21st century, China began to actively develop “softpower” and achieved satisfactory results. Modern Russia has not only inherited the rich soft power resources of the Soviet Union, but also continues to promote cultural diplomacy. China and Russia, as close neighbors, have a long history of educational exchanges. Nevertheless, at the present stage in China-Russia educational exchanges there are some problems, which should be solved by the joint efforts of both countries.
