Abstract

The article discusses the issues of the state of agriculture in the Turkestan General Government identified during the audit of the Turkestan General Government by Senator K.K. Palen in 1908-1909. Issues of cotton growing and land use are considered. The article examines the causes of the brewing agrarian conflict on ethnic grounds. The article also draws attention to such important problems for the development of agriculture in the region as the use of technical means and the organization of breeding work in the region.
