Abstract

This paper examined the syllabuses of information security courses from different colleges and universities. The results indicated that different departments offer the information security courses across the campus. Due to the interdisciplinary content and complexity of the information security courses, most instructors lack appropriate training in diverse contents in information security. This paper proposes collaborative learning and team teaching as methods in training faculty members in teaching information security courses to achieve better results. A case study shows that team teaching and collaborative learning are effective ways to train instructors who teach information security courses.
