Abstract

Wnt5a regulates cell proliferation during early external genitalia development (~E10.5), leading to genital tubercle outgrowth. In later stages, Wnt5a regulates cell polarity, focal adhesion formation, and cell contractility, leading to directed cell migration during male‐type urethral formation.
