Abstract

Front cover: Chloride intracellular channel 1 (CLIC1) is a cytoplasmic hydrophilic protein that, upon stimulation, dimerizes and translocates to the plasma membrane, where it contributes to increase the membrane chloride conductance. Immunoreactivity for CLIC1 (red) is shown in the mouse retina. Nuclei were counterstained with Hoechst 33342 (blue), while ßIII-tubulin staining (green) highlights the structure of the retina. J.
