Abstract

Al-Qur’an has been revealed to all mankinds as a guideline in their life. Al-Qur’an is revealed through mutawatir method and is guaranted by Allah Almighty from any amendments. However there is exist the mufassirun who has moulded their interpretations with Isra’iliyyat. These elements are used whenever the mufassirun explains about the story of the prophets. Isra’iliyyat influence in tafseer is clearly visible, especially in the classical Qur’anic commentators with the history-oriented. Isra’iliyyat also gived visible effect on a contemporary tafseer "Kulliyat Rasa'il Al-Nur", written by an Islamic scholar and cleric from Turkey, Badi 'al-Zaman Al- Said Nursi. Although in some of his statements, he was very harshly criticized Isra’iliyyat exist in a number of books of tafseer. The exist of Isra’iliyyat commentary in the "Kulliyat Rasa'il Al-Nur" very diverse, but nevertheless the number of Isra’iliyyat quoted in the "Kulliyat Rasa'il Al-Nur" is little, compared with the other tafseer. This article will discuss further.
