Abstract

The article aims to offer a historical explanation of the birth, formation and development of the state of Israel, from 1948 to the present. It analyzes the main events that have shaped this country: the step from community to state, its political and constitutional organization and development until the disengagement of Gaza. The article attempts to explain one of the characteristics that have helped to turn this country into a virtual sociological laboratory: the process of absorption of jewish immigration. The focus of the article is a purely internal overview of the aforementioned process.
