Abstract
A particle-number projection approach in quasiparticle representation is proposed in the isovector pairing case. A new expression of the projected ground-state is proposed. It is very similar to the one used in the pairing between like-particles case. The expressions of the variance on the particle-number as well as the energy are then derived. The formalism is numerically tested using the one-level schematic model. It is shown that the numerical results of the present work are the same as those obtained using the particle representation approach: the convergence is rapid and the particle-number fluctuations are totally eliminated. Moreover the present method is less time consuming.
