Abstract

We estimate the isotopic yields for the production of pairs of fragments with the help of the dynamical model for cold fission. This model predicts an enhanced production of odd-odd nuclei for the lowest fragment excitation energies. A single set of realistic fragment ground-state deformations and liquid-drop mass and stiffness parameters are used for the calculations. Isotopic yields for the thermal neutron-induced cold fission of 233U and 235U are estimated.
