Abstract

1. Isotherms have been developed and used to calculate isosteric heats of CO2 adsorption on NaE, CaNaE, and CaE zeolites. 2. The heat of CO2 adsorption increases rapidly as the Ca2+ content of the type E zeolite rises. There is a direct relation between the number of Ca2+ cations in the zeolite lattice and the number of CO2 molecules which adsorb with high heat of adsorption.
