Abstract

The isothermal decomposition of un-irradiated (pristine) and pre-γ-irradiated indium acetate was studied in the temperature range (298–1273K) and in air using isothermal thermogravimetric technique. The data were analyzed using various solid-state reaction models. The results showed that the kinetic of isothermal decomposition of indium acetate was governed by random nucleation reaction (Erof’ev equation A3). The kinetics and thermodynamic parameters of the main decomposition process for un-irradiated and γ-irradiated samples were calculated and evaluated.
