Isometries of the geodesic distances for the space of invertible positive operators and matrices

Abstract

In this paper we shall describe the surjective isometries between metric spaces of all invertible positive elements of unital C⁎-algebras. We obtain the forms of the surjective isometries concerning to the geodesic distances with respect to the operator norm for the parametrized geometries on positive definite matrices.
