Abstract
Abstract Catalytic activity of the monohydrates of various metal sulfates for the isomerization of 2-pinene was found to be related to the infrared wave numbers of the rocking mode of the water of crystallization and the transition temperatures from the monohydrates to the anhydrates, but not to the electronegativity of metal ions.
