Abstract

Isomeric cross section ratios at 14 MeV for the reaction (n, 2n) were measured with a NaI scintillation spectrometer. Using the statistical model and the spin distribution form due to Bethe and Bloch, theoretically calculated isomeric ratios have been compared with measured values to find the value for the spin distribution parameter σ. Comparison was made for the following cases: Pt 198(n, 2n)Pt 197m, g, Au 197(n, 2n)Au 196m, g, Se 82(n, 2n)Se 81m, g
