Abstract

Cross section ratios and excitation functions for the isomeric pair 120 g Sb and 120 m Sb produced by the 121 Sb( n , 2 n ) reaction have been measured in the energy range of 13–15 MeV. The experimental isomer ratios are compared with those calculated by means of the Fermi gas and superconductor models. The superconductor model seems to be valid. In a different way, the calculated values based on the Fermi gas model agree with experiments if the moment of inertia is taken to be 0.60 times the rigid-body value.
