Abstract
Isolator-free 10 Gbit/s singlemode fibre data transmission using an uncooled 1.12 µm GaInAs/GaAs QW VCSEL with optical feedback is demonstrated for the first time. The relative intensity noise is below 130 dB/Hz even with an optical feedback of −22 dB.
