Abstract
A simple method is described for the isolation of intact nucleic from rice tissue (Oryza sativa L.) grown in suspension culture. The procedure involves incubation of the tissue for 4 h with cellulase and pectinase prior to disruption of the cells. The yield of nucleic is approximately 40% (DNA basis) and the preparations are capable of synthesizing RNA in vitro. The method may be valuable to biochemically oriented research requiring plant nuclei.
