Abstract
1. The possibility of using the isomerization of 1-butene to 2-butenes to facilitate the isolation of highpurity isobutylene from the C4 fraction of pyrogas has been shown. 2. A modified scheme for separating the C4 fraction hydrocarbons is recommended. 3. Conditions have been worked out for the isomerization of 2-butenes to 1-butene for continuous preparation of the latter from a mixture of n-butenes.
