Abstract
The isolation and structure elucidation of three members of a novel family of amino acid containing alkyl citrates, viridiofungins A ( 1), B ( 2) and C ( 3), are described. They are potent, broad spectrum antifungal agents and in vitro inhibitors of squalene synthase.
