Abstract

A random survey was conducted for the natural occurrence of EPNs from vegetable growing areas ol the district Jorhat, Assam. Only four of the 200 soil samples examined tested positive for entomopathogenic nematodes and contained one Steinernema isolate. To characterise the isolate, morphological and morphometrical examinations were carried out. Steinernema kushidai was identified as the Steinernema isolate.
