Abstract

ABSTRACTA novel sildenafil analogue found in herbal products by a routine drug-adulteration screening programme was isolated by column chromatography. On the basis of extensive 1D- and 2D-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and mass spectral analysis, the structure of a new compound YJ-07 was established as 1-[4-ethoxy-3-(6,7-dihydro-1-methyl-7-oxo-3-propyl-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-5-yl) benzenesulfonamide. It common name is aminosildenafil.
