Abstract

The curcumin found in the herbal plant Turmeric is the active ingredient for the treatment of many diseases as they have a set of useful properties that enabled them to be used as anti-inflammatory drugs and also used as antioxidants and based on recent studies have shown that curcumin is influential in the growth of fungi and bacteria was the goal. The main study of the current study is to test the effect of curcumin in the growth of yeast albicans Candida has been used in this research one way is the method of tablets soaked Turmeric extract water for two periods of time (2 hours - 24 hours) and then took the results that showed that turmeric has an anti-growth effect albicans Candida and increases this effect by increasing concentrations and duration of soaking. We can conclude that the turmeric extract can be used as an antimicrobial agent for the growth of vaginal albicans Candida.
