Abstract

Key developmental processes of cell fate decisions and morphogenetic transformations take place during the periimplantation and early postimplantation stages of mouse embryogenesis. Howeveranalysing these fundamental events relies on direct observations of cultured embryos, which are challenging to obtain. To address this challenge, here we provide a detailed protocol describing a workflow for isolating early implanted embryos, removing of redundant extraembryonic tissues anddescribing the culture conditions that support further embryo development in vitro.
