Abstract
The isolation and characterization of two new pigments of Chlorobium vibrioforme forma thiosulfatophilum (NCIB No. 8327) are described. The new bacteriochlorophylls possess a neopentyl substituent at position 4, and the S stereochemistry at the 2-(1-hydroxyethyl) group.
