Abstract

Abstract The investigations of the thermodynamic properties of R152a (purity: at least 99,99%) were focussed on the measurement of the pressure/temperature dependence along 17 quasi-isochores in the liquid single-phase region. This region of state, which was investigated using two apparatuses, extended from the triple point to 450 K. The relative uncertainty of the measurements - related to the quotient pv/(RT) - is less than 1.10−3. The (p,v,T) data measured can be reproduced within their uncertainty of measurement with the aid of a correlation equation with 11 substance-specific constants. In the temperature range above 200 K, the measured values are in good agreement with data given in the literature. In addition to the investigation of the (p,v,T) properties, temperature and pressure at the triple point were measured for the first time. On the basis of vapour pressure measurements up to 260 K and investigations into the saturation density up to a pressure of 1 MPa, correlation equations have been set up which reproduce the measured values within the uncertainty of measurement.
