Abstract

The vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) and boiling point data have been measured at 95.3 kPa for the binary systems of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) with 1,2-dichloroethane, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane, trichloroethene, and tetrachloroethene using a Swietoslawski-ebulliometer. The experimental results are analyzed in terms of intermolecular interactions between constituent molecules. The experimental temperature−composition (T, x) data were correlated with the Wilson, NRTL, and UNIQUAC models.
