Abstract

There is a growing interest in religious and spiritual healing among social workers. Religion and spirituality have been the subject of discussions by many scholars and are increasingly considered an essential source of understanding about human beings and their ways of coping with psychological and social problems. This article addresses the concept of hope in relation to religious and spiritual healing in the Islamic texts, the Qur'an and the Hadith. The concepts of religion and spirituality overlap in the Islamic context and are used interchangeably in this article.
