Abstract
Muslim teachers and students encounter aspects of pluralism which spring from the distinctive character of Islamic faith and culture. This article discusses the traditions of tolerance, pluralism, freedom of conscience and dialogue as they are perceived by Turkish Muslims. A concluding enquiry considers the possibilities and the limits of the Turkish Muslim experience as a resource for the enrichment of religious education in Germany.
