Abstract

The East African coast region witnessed the emergence of several cities along the coast, which were credited with spreading the Islamic religion, the most important of which is the Kilwa Sultanate. Which was able to unite all the kingdoms in one state, where the Sultanate of Kilwa ruled the eastern coast of Africa for more than five centuries, It was a commercial center and an intermediary for all the neighboring cities in the transmission of Islamic thought, and it was the product of the Arab-Islamic culture. All the peoples of the coast, who took Arabic as their language, contributed to its construction and she lived under the Islamic administration, regardless of gender, color and religion.
