Abstract
We calculate the Isgur-Wise function using heavy quark effective theory on the lattice. The inclusion of the kinetic energy term of the heavy quark to the lagrangian is essential for obtaining clear signals. The slope of the Isgur-Wise function at the normalization point is calculated at β = 6.0 on a 24 3 × 48 lattice and the dependence on the heavy quark mass is estimated.
