Abstract

<h3>Grants, Awards</h3> The<b>Gold Headed Cane Award</b>, the highest honor bestowed on a physician by the American Association of Pathologists and Bacteriologists, was presented to<b>Harry Goldblatt</b>, MD, a Cleveland research pathologist and teacher, in ceremonies which were held recently in Cleveland. <b>Alan R. Moritz</b>, MD, provost of Western Reserve University, made the formal citation for the award. He cited Dr. Goldblatt's distinction as a teacher to hundreds of medical students as a basis for the award. Dr. Goldblatt taught pathology at Western Reserve for 30 years and was associate director of the university's Institute of Pathology for 15 years. The association's principal speaker for the evening was<b>Charles L. Hudson</b>, MD, president-elect of the American Medical Association.
