Abstract

Mg alloys have a good application prospect and are a structural material with great application potential. However, the corrosion resistance of Mg alloys are very poor, so it is possible to develop environment-friendly and pollution-free corrosion inhibitor to inhibit the corrosion of Mg alloys and study its inhibition mechanism. Three isatin Schiff bases were synthesized and used as Mg alloys corrosion inhibitors. The results showed that in a 0.5 wt% NaCl solution, all three corrosion inhibitors had a good corrosion inhibition effect on AZ91D. The corrosion inhibition mechanism was studied by various characterization methods.
