Abstract

Terahertz technology is very important and new for inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging system. Owing to the ultra-short wavelength, the nonlinear systematic error seriously affects the imaging quality. Additionally, due to the requirement for high azimuth resolution, the phenomenon of migration through resolution cell (MTRC) will decline the performance of the Range-Doppler (R-D) algorithm. In order to improve the quality of terahertz ISAR images, a novel and efficient ISAR imaging algorithm based on the back-projection (BP) algorithm combined with the systematic compensation is proposed in this paper. The well-focused ISAR images achieved by the raw experimental data demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.
