Abstract

(Aust N Z J Obstet Gynaecol. 2018;58:620–628) The rate of cesarean section births in Australia in 2013 was more than double the World Health Organization’s recommended rate. A previous population-based study by the authors of the current article established a strong independent relationship between birthweight/neonatal head circumference (HC) and cesarean section for failure to progress in labor (CS-FTP). This study aimed to determine whether ultrasound biometry measurements were associated with intrapartum cesarean section for FTG.
