Abstract
Key Points Women are underrepresented in CTO revascularisation registries and trials. Women undergoing CTO PCI have lower J‐CTO scores, higher procedural success with no difference in MACC, but more complications such as perforations, vascular complications and major bleeding. There is a need for more large‐scale sex‐based analyses enrolling more women, with complex CTO lesion subsets and the adoption of contemporary best practices for CTO PCI.
