Abstract

Objectives: Laparoscopic right hemicolectomy with complete mesocolic excision has become the focus of scientific interest in recent years. There are technical differences with regard to the anastomosis which may influence long-term function and quality of life. The aim of this study was to compare short- and long-term functional outcomes of three groups (open surgery versus laparoscopic surgery with intracorporeal anastomosis versus laparoscopic surgery with extracorporeal anastomosis).
