Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Although it is more and more evident that reduced oxygen tension (5%O2) yields higher number of top quality embryos and in turn higher outcomes, most IVF centers have not been convinced to abandon the use of atmospheric oxygen (21%O2) for embryo culture. Therefore, this study looked at these two different O2 concentrations, and evaluated their efficiency in terms of clinical pregnancy rate (cPR) and implantation rate (IR).
