Abstract

Rats were trained to discriminate CDP or 8-OH-DPAT from saline by means of a conditioned taste aversion (CTA) procedure in order to further evaluate the use of CTA in drug discrimination research. CTA was found to be more time-consuming, less accurate, and more bothersome to the animals than traditional drug discrimination procedures.
