Abstract

In questioning the need for yet another layer of the inspection industry within the NHS, John Finch, a journalist specialising in clinical law and ethics, suggests not only is the Care Quality Commission a superfluous body but it has been impacted from a fundamental design fault. The reason for the Care Quality Commission's continued existence is debatable.
