Abstract
Acute Type-A aortic dissection (TAAD) represents a cardiothoracic emergency and should be managed without delay. Western Australia is an expansive state iwith a network of regional centres and cardiothoracic centres located in the capital city of Perth. This study aimed to assess the differences in presentation and outcomes between rural and urban patients undergoing emergent repair for an acute TAAD.
