Abstract

EVIDENCE-BASED ANSWER Nasal saline irrigation may improve symptom scores statistically for acute URIs in children, but it is unlikely that this difference is clinically meaningful. The available evidence does not suggest any benefit in adults (SOR: B, based on a systematic review with significant heterogeneity).
