In order to construct a discussion about it, we performed a cross-sectional study. We used a self-administered online survey to assess the impact of gender inequality in surgical training amongst residents from surgical specialties based in a tertiary hospital in Brazil. By identifying bias and possible situations where it occurs, we can better comprehend gender minorities' barriers during their surgical training.
