Abstract

An interview is provided with the physicist and former director of the U.S. Office of Science and Technology John Holdren. When asked on U.S. investment in energy technology, he suggests that the U.S. should spend more money on energy research and development (R&D). He discusses using nuclear fusion as a renewable energy source in the future. When asked about fusion energy's performance, he comments on the ITER fusion project's burning of plasma in France.
