Abstract

Background: Irreversible electroporation (IRE) has been recently standardized as an additional therapeutic option in patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancers (LAPC) involving vital structures and vessels. IRE delivers electric current to obtain irreversible changes in cell membrane leading to cell death. The aim of this study was to evaluate the long-term effects and survival of IRE in the treatment of LAPC.
