Abstract

The irreversibility ( H, T) line of BiPbSrCaCuO samples (powder, textured, single crystal) has been studied by dc and ac susceptibility measurements. For all the samples the field dependence of the reduced irreversibility temperature T irr/ T c can be expressed as a power law. Furthermore, a logarithmic frequency dependence of T irr has been found, as predicted by the thermally assisted flux model. Therefore our experimental r̀esults cannot be simply explained in terms of a classical flux creep model, which predicts a power of 2/3.
