Abstract

Regular (periodic) macroscopic T wave alternans has previously been described in Brugada syndrome during fever, atrial pacing, or following administration of Na-channel blockers. Irregular (aperiodic) T wave alternans (T wave variability), which is sometimes observed in the congenital long QT syndrome (LQTS), has not been reported in Brugada syndrome so far. We describe 2 patients with positive ajmaline test for suspected Brugada syndrome in whom the drug induced visible irregular beat-to-beat ST-T wave variability with marked QT prolongation.
