Women are facing challenges every day to run life. health wise also many diseases like heart diseases, cervical cancers, breast cancers, ovarian cancer, osteomyelitis, sexually transmitted diseases, urinary tract infection, iron-deficiency anaemia, stress and depression etc. are easily affects women than men. In that iron-deficiency anaemia causes ill health to women. 39.6% of all women have anaemia in India as per the World Health Organization (WHO) report. Iron-deficiency anaemia appears due to lack of iron. It occurs due to inadequate intake of iron, pregnancy, lactation, frequent blood donation, certain drugs, foods and caffeinated drinks. Symptoms which include fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, cold hands and feet, fast or irregular heartbeat, brittle nails, dizziness and severe cravings to eat dirt, ice, or clay. Treatment based on iron supplementation with vitamin C supplementation, iron rich foods and treat underlying cause. Preventive aspects of iron-deficiency anaemia which includes intake of iron rich foods such as meat, beans, green leaves like spinach, raisins and other dried fruits, pomegranate, fig, brinjal, plantain, turkey berry, jiggery, honey, gingelly seeds, egg, sea foods, iron fortified dry, instant cereals, etc. and Vitamin C rich foods like oranges, grapes, strawberries, kiwis, guavas, pine apples, melons and mangoes, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.
