Abstract

Organoboron compounds play an ubiquitous role in the field of organic synthesis and catalysis. They possess diverse reactivity, exhibit great functional group tolerance and hence can undergo useful transformations. Most of the iron catalysts are abundant, biocompatible, inexpensive and environmental-friendly. Thus, scientific community is putting more efforts in the design of iron-catalyzed borylation reactions, and boryl group could be successfully incorporated into various substrates. An overview of iron-catalyzed borylation reactions is given in this review covering literature up to 2021.
